Interest in After-school Care with a Spanish Lesson

Since I recently found out that we are expecting #2, I am looking at some different job opportunites next year. One thing that interestes me would be offering after-school care in the Plano (Carlisle) area. My question is what would you be willing to pay for in-home care, a snack, homework help by an experienced teacher, and a Spanish lesson? I am looking at charging around $150.00 a week. Thoughts?

What can I do next?

Oh my gosh!! I wish I lived closer to you. My husband and I hired a Spanish teacher for our son last summer so he could learn Spanish. The guy never showed up so here we are with no one. I think that is a great price to charge--however for stay at home moms, they might not need the after school care, but you should seriously look into the Spanish lesson thing--even if you had a few at once--on certain evenings. And if you do have people needing the after school care as well--then I think that is a great deal!! Good Luck!

Depends on where you are as to what people are willing to pay. I would be happy to pay $100 since it's not a full day (just after school care, so maybe 2.5, 3 hours/day?)

I wouldn't pay that much. That is actually more than I pay for all day childcare (7:30 am - 5:30 pm) at a NAEC (sp) facility. Break it down hourly to what you think is reasonable. Before our current daycare we used an in-home that provided all food except formula and charged us $3.00/hour with a $50/week minimum.
