I am going out of town for a week during the Thanksgiving holiday and need to board my three dogs. Anyone know of an inexpensive place around Dallas? Will travel as far north as McKinney area. Thanks Mommas!

I second 4 Paws Inn. My dog loves it there and they are reasonably priced.

We own a Fetch Pet Care in NE Dallas. We do home sitting as well as boarding with host families or visits to the home. Holidays are no problem either. Our host families never have more than five dogs including their own and are all insured, bonded, background checked, as well as have first aid training for pets.

Love to help you if we can or in the future!

L.,

we take our dog to JD Kennels when we leave for more than a couple of days. It is in Royse City so it needs to be worth the drive for us. Our dog seems to love it there!

We love Dogs Rule Resort in Carrollton. It is cage free during the day. They have 3 indoor rooms and a huge outdoor area. The dogs are separated by size and they have webcam to check in on your pets. We pay $33 for our dog. I don't know their rates for multiple dogs. They are in a caged area at night. Our dog loves it there. They minute we pull in he goes straight for the back room.

L., I know an excellent petsitting service that will take outstanding care of your pets and other living things such as your plants, etc. The ladies who own it truly love animals and are totally trustworthy. I personally opt to keep my dogs at home because then they aren't exposed to anything another animal might have, they don't get stressed being in a new environment, can eat what they are used to when they are used to it, etc. It works out great for us. Let me know if you are interested and I'll get the number for you.

We take our dog to a place just south of Plano Parkway and Alma. I can't remember the name right now. Our dog LOVES it. The boarding includes all the play area unlike a Petsmart where they charge you seperately for boarding and the doggie day care part. Enjoy your trip!

Try Pappy's Pet Lodge! Several locations in the north DaLlas area. Kim is the owner and has received many awards for her business. They have play rooms and a webcams so you can view your pets while gone. Top notch place! Also A&B Kennel Club in Wylie. Tell them B. from the Chamber of Commerce sent you!

Have you looked into a petsitter? We also have three (large) dogs and know it can get pretty expensive. I just moved here from Charlotte, NC, so I can't help you with boarding, but we used a pet sitting service there. It is less exspensive, you don't have to take the dogs anywhere, the one we used even took out the trash, turned on/off lights and watered plants! Good luck!

L.,
We went on vacation and had to board 4 dogs. I looked at several places and called more than that. Waggin Tails off of Parker/Alma in Plano was the best deal and had awesome stuff (dog cams, daycare included with boarding, smelled good, clean, nightly treats, etc). We were extremely happy with their customer service as well. First time customers get a special discount as well.

Also, I learned later that a lady that lives in our neighborhood takes her dog there to daycare and she loves it (she has no kids and her dog is her "baby).

Not sure if they still have space that week, but I highly recommend it. Good luck!

Best deal I have found is Plano 4 Paws Inn just North of Coit and Park in Plano. The second dog is half price (I don't know about a third) if you put them in the same run. We pay $22 for our first, $11 for the second - so only $33 a night! And our dogs love to go there - always a good sign www.planos4pawsinn.com
