I was wondering if anyone had some creative or cute ideas on how to incorporate my husband's police uniform in some of my son's newborn pics. Also, any ideas on family pics or big sister (2 yrs old) with her baby brother. TIA

What can I do next?

We put quarters next to our twins to show scale, how about pinning Dad's badge onto the swaddled bundle of joy?

Will baby fit curled into daddy's hat?

Was it a fast delivery? Issue baby a speeding ticket.

Put your hubby's badge in your son's hands or maybe having big sister hold the badge like she's showing it to her baby brother.

Have your son laying on the uniform it with only a diaper.

Have your hubby wearing his uniform holding both kids.

Have your daughter wear his uniform shirt and take the pic from above looking down and have the shirt splayed all around like a dress and have baby laying on it.

Have your husband hold his badge in his hands and showing it to both kids (pic if only of his hands/badge and them looking at it).

How cute and fun! Always great when you can do soemthing like this to show how proud the kids are of Daddy! My Husband's Police Dept. has a store in which they sell t-shirts, little badges and stuff. Does your dept. have anything like that? We bought our kids little badges, handcuffs, etc and had my daughter wear his hat and my son wore a onesie that said " I Love my police Dad". We also had them sit on Dad's police motorcycle which he gets to ride home. Didn't know if you were having pics done professional, in a studio or if you were taking them but maybe you can go to his Dept. and take pics next to a police car??

Hi! I'm a local on location photographer. (C. Atkins Photography)
It would be beautiful to do a photo of your husband in his uniform shirt holding the baby to his chest or even your husband with no shirt & maybe just his police hat & holding the baby. Maybe a photo of the newborn lying down with your husband's hat placed on or around the baby's head. For baby & big sis, you could have him lying down & her sitting & bending down to kiss him on his back or his head. Please check out my website & let me know if you'd like to schedule an appointment. I have a newborn special going on--$150 for a 2-3 hour shoot & we can do it in the comfort of your own home. I bring backdrops & props & the session fee includes a CD of all the edited photos, including black and whites, and a release to print the pics any time & anywhere you like. You could have your husband craddle your son in his arms while he's wearing his uniform - but zoom in on just your husband's arm and your son. Will have a great impact. ;)

For big sister you could have her hold her little brother over her shoulder while wearing the hat. Shoot from the back and talk to her so that she's trying to look at you from behind - you'll get a great profile of her in the hat and hopefully your little son will have an equally memorable expression. ;)

Lots of luck!!

Let the little one wear daddy's hat. For family pic, you hold the baby and have the 2 year old lean over your arm looking at the baby or holding its hand

Get the local police department's emblem embroidered on a onesie for your son, and a shirt for your daughter.

for pics with his sister, you could get or make shirts that say "I'm the big sister" and "I'm the little brother" These turned out really cute with our kids at the same ages as yours. We did some great ones of the baby in the boppy pillow with a sheet/backdrop over it, sister sitting next to him and her kissing him. You could easily position the badge on the boppy/pillow and have her wear the hat & shirt.

Also, There are many photographers who will come to your house. Look on craigslist and see if you can find one. That person would have great ideas on how to do these things in the comfort of your own home.
