Since I am still new to the area and everyone has been so helpful, I would also like to know if anyone has a family doctor, ob/gyn doctor, vision and dentists that they would like to refer? It is so hard coming to a new area and starting all over with so many different needs.

Hi K.,
Welcome to Cincinnati! I would love to give you referals but all my doctors are in Northern Kentucky which is about 30minutes south of Mason. I'm originally from NKY and never switched over to Ohio. That shows how much I trust my doctors. If you don't get any other referals please let me know if I can help, ###-###-####.

I am married, 3 years in September with a 16 year old step-son and a 17 month daughter. What a stretch in ages, huh?

For GYN, I recommend seeing Rhonda Whitton at Crescent Women's Medical Group. She's a CNM. Phone number is ###-###-####.

I'm not sure it would be helpful to mention our Family Doctor. We really like her, but that's why we still go there. It's all the way over on the west side of Cincinnati. We go to Western Family Practice and see Dr. Ruschulte.

I've considered switching to the holistic practice, Cole Center for Healing in Sharonville. Here's the website: http://www.colecenter.com/

We do already have a Naturopathic doctor we see in Blue Ash though. Her name is Gina Perry, out of Wholecare Chiropractic ###-###-####) Chiropractic office. The problem is that she is not covered by insurance, but very knowledgeable.

I moved here 18 months ago and know how difficult it can be to find great doctors without referrals from others. Thus, I've included a list of our doctor's that we have appreciated over the 18 months: 1) Dr. Fitzgerald (and the entire OBGYN practice) at Mason Women's Clinic, 605 Reading Road, is awesome. I had a baby last September and this practice was great for my pre-baby visits, delivery, follow-up, and for my annual exam. 2) As for a dentist, my husband and I both go to Riversbend Dental in Maineville (Route 48 and Grandin Road). Both of the dentists are excellent and do not recommend unneccessary services, which we appreciate! 3) For eyes, we utilize Thoma and Sutton next to the Kenwood Mall. Last year, we received excellent eye exams at this practice and they have one of the best selections of fun glasses in the city! 4) As for "kid" doctors, we go to Dr. Ringel at Suburban Pediatrics on Mason-Montgomery Road. My daughter has seen her for several well-visits and two sick visits over the past year. I think she is a good doctor, easy-going, and very knowledgable. We live near Mason, so please feel free to e-mail me when you have any questions or need any additional information. Blessings on your new life in Ohio!

I LOVE Crescent Women's Medical Group in Montgomery-right off 275. It's all women and they are so understanding and caring. They have docs and midwives. I like them enough that they don't take my insurance but I still go there!

K.,
We too use GHA in Mason for a family doctor. The service there is wonderful and if you need a prescription it is usually filled at the in office pharmacy even before you get out to the waiting room to leave!
For OB/GYN I go to Associates in Women's Health on Cornell Rd. (almost at the corner of Montgomery and Cornell across from Gate of Heaven Cemetary). I absolutely love them, there are 3 doctors(two female and one male), a nurse midwife, and a nurse practitioner. Please let me know if you have any questions or need a phone number!

K. - Welcome up north! :)

OB-GYN - Dr. Terri Hoopes or Dr. Graig Smith @ Good Samaritan OB/GYN (their office connect to Good Samaritan in Clifton). They also have other offices; but that is where I've been. Dr. Hoopes is great (and she's really down to earth) and Dr. Smith delivered our first child (I was sort of leary of having a man gynocologist; but he is great!).

Dentist - My friend is a dental hygentist (sp) on the "West side"; but I live on the "East side" (near Kings Island). So, I asked her to refer me to someone. One of the dentists she works for recommended Dr. Michael Westendorf (his office is located off Montgomery Road). I have not gone there yet (just got the referral); however, he does do pediatric dentistry as well.

Hope this helps!

Hi K. -

Welcome to Cincinnati!

A great OBGYN group is Mt. Auburn Group Health Associates (the office with Dr. Fitzgerald reflected below). They have several doctors (approx 7), and at least 3 locations:Clifton/Mt. Auburn (tel # ###-###-####), Montgomery ###-###-####) & Mason ###-###-####). The hospital they work with is Christ, which is a distance from Mason.

K.,
First and foremost welcome to Mason. I moved to Mason from Raleigh, NC about 4 yrs ago. Moving from the South to the Midwest can be quite the adjustment....especially if you are originally from the south. So if you ever have questions or need to talk, let me know. I can give you pointers on differences I have learned over the past 4 yrs between NC and here. :-)

So for Doctors.....I take my kids to GHA-Mason on Mason Montgomery Road. I really like it there. Some of the highlights are that they have Sat morning office hours and they have a pharmacy right on site that is very conveneient. My kids go to Dr Robinson and he is great. But there are several other peds there that are good too including Dr Kryvski (sp?). I also go to this office myself as they have Family Patrice docs as well. I am very rarely at the Dr so dont know if I could recommend one per se, but I usually see Dr Jay Hayner.

Now my OB ...... I absolutely LOVE. The office I go to is on Montgomery Rd called NE Center for Women's Health. The office is really busy which can be a pain but I love my Dr there. I go to Dr Sullivan. He is fantastic, makes me feel very comfortable and I can ask him anything. Actually I go to him for more stuff than my regular Dr.

For vision and dentist I dont really have any good recos.

Well good luck and let me know if you have more questions. I also have an 8 yr old son and 2 yr old daughter. Welcome to Mason.
