Tell your husband to suck it up or shut up....he cant have it both ways, im sure you dont really enjoy working until 8PM at night when you have other important things to do (three kids AND pursuing a masters degree is no joke!) Remind him of the financial things he would miss out on if you quit. He cant have it both ways.
Good Luck

S.,

Have you considered a work at home option? I know it is very difficult to find something that works out in that area, especially when there are so many scams running around.

I am a home party consultant, and I keep my schedule down to one show per week. I make 300-500 a month, and only have to leave my house one weekend afternoon or evening for about 4 hours total. A girlfriend of mine works retail at the Gap, and they only pay 7.50 an hour, so she has to work about 14 hours on her feet in the mall, dealing with all those cranky people in order to make what I make doing one show a week. I have a lot of fun with it, and it only cost me $90 to get started! If you think you might be interested in knowing more about what I do, email me at ____@____.com

Good luck with your schooling, I admire Moms who are able to make the transition back to school. I hope to do it myself someday.

I had a similiar experience. My husband wanted me home, yet I had to work. We chose to work him during the day, me at nights. and it was hard. Especially since I worked till 10 at night, and when I got home, I was wired, and did not go right to bed. He finally got used to it, and it worked out. Now I am full time days and my kids are older, so it is easier. You will get thru it!

Hello, I am new to Mamaosurce and read through your responses.

How did you doing with the work aspect? How is colleg going. You are very lucky to be doing this while your children are still young. Also evry lucky to have a husband who does seem to suppport you in what you are doing.

I too had my first child very young, I married then had my second child (the marriage failed). That husband said I could go to school as long as I got a fulltime job to [ay for it. I worked occasional part time jobs because we neded the money but he never took care of the kids for me. He worked nights and if I worked mornings he needed to sleep mornings if I worked afternoons he needed to sleep afternoons.

I finally returned to college when my children were older (yes evenn was working full time). The children are grown now and on their own. I continued college off and on, but never got my degree.

If you are still looking for some work suggestions or maybe jsut a little extra income and have fun doing it May I suggest Tupperware.

I do this as a parttime job. I work in a bank and do back office work with little people contact. Tupperware gives me the people contact. There is great money and we do also have benefits. And it is very flexible. We work together on various training methods to helo our people. There is no party minimum just a slaes minimum to stay active of $250 every 4 months. No-one chases you if you choose to do 1 party every 4 month (or even just sell to family and friends). Or whether you do 15 parties a month. We provide guidelines on the difference in income and you choose where you fit.

If you did not consider it before and would like to now please go to my website and send me a contact.

Hey S., God bless you girl! 3 kids, a husband, a part-time job AND school too! You are SUPERWOMAN! Your husband should be happy you're willing to work so hard. Well, I'm here to tell you it doesn't have to be that hard. I'm a 34yr old full-time working Mom & Wife who is building a business out of my home. I'm doing it in my own time, around my family's needs, so it's perfect for me. I really think it could work for you too since you are on such a full schedule. What if your part-time job did not require you to leave your home? What if your part-time job allowed you to network with people in your field of study? What if your part-time job actually allowed you to do your homework WHILE YOU'RE WORKING? Would you be interested if I told you the business I'm building can do that for you?
Check out my website to learn more: http://www.stayinhomeandlovinit.com/cgi-bin/team.cgi?id=A...
