How to Get Stickers off the Wall?

We are moving and several years ago my daughter decided to "decorate" her room with a TON of stickers, all over her walls. I should have peeled them off right away, but didn't. Now they are good and stuck on there. Any ideas on ways to get them off without spending an endless amount of time picking them off with my nails? =0/

What can I do next?

Have you tried rubbing alcohol or had sanitizer? It's usually quite effective in getting of sticky stuff. But you will need to paint after.

If there are a ton I would use wallpaper remover. I used a wallpaper remover (gel) to take an ugly boarder off our kitchen walls. Spray it on, let it sit for recommended amount of time and then go back and scrape em all off. You might still have to sand and paint. It worked well for me. I didn't have to repair the wall at all-and was planning on painting anyway.

rubbing alcohol usually works. If they are good and stuck on? Get them wet and use a razor or knife to peel them back.

If you have to re-paint? Sand 'em off. URGH! I know - a pain in the rear - however, if you have to repaint....sand 'em!!

DO NOT use your nails!! that will be futile! :)

I'd use my clothing steamer and use a pancake turner. This is the widest thing I can think of to use to get them off at the same time. Of course you'll have to wash the wall and then paint but the stickers will be gone.

Another option is to use a sander and just sand the walls. Then you use a tack cloth to get the dust off. Once you do that you simply paint over it.

I got this off off of a how to site.
It is exactly how we did it.

Instructions

1 Spray the sticker and its edges with water to soak it.
2 Let the water sit for 30 minutes or until the sticker loosens.

3 Pull off the sticker gently, rolling it inward or using a scraper such as a wallpaper remover or spatula. If you're still having problems getting the stickers off, use a blow dryer to heat the surface. Rub or scrape off the stickers carefully.

4 Add some Goo Gone to any sticky areas and remove any remaining glue. To clean the wall, wipe it with a clean, damp cloth soaked in hot water.

Hello! The easiest I have ever found was to just warm up the glue with the hair dryer, peel it all off, repeat if needed. If necessary use goo-gone for the remainder. But the goo-gone application depends on the surface as it could leave a greasy stain. Good luck!

Goo gone really is the best, but it might dissolve some of the paint too since it's a solvent.

Wd-40 has worked on just about everything as far as it goes w/everything. Just try not to spray too much, a little goes a long way. Best of luck!
