How to Get My Biracial Daughter's Hair to Go Down

Hi everyone. I'm looking for some advice on my 2 year old daughter's hair. My daughter is biracial and she has the most beautiful curly hair. When I wash it and her hair is still wet, it looks amazing. However, the second it starts to dry, it dries upward into quite the afro. I was wondering if there was anything I can do to it to make it go down so that I can leave it down. I've learned how to braid and plait but it's very time consuming and I really like her hair when it's down. Any suggestions? Also, if there is something I can do to get it to go down, how long will it last that way before it starts to creep up again? Thanks again.

What can I do next?

Try some of the Carol's Daughter hair products. My daughter is biracial with super curly hair as well and we like the Hair Milk. It helps her hair stay curly, not frizzy. The trick is to use something that moisturizes but not anything too heavy. We tried everything and like Carol's Daughter a lot.

My son is biracial and he has very curly hair. I was putting gel and mousse. It worked at first but by the end of the day his hair was all over the place. I now use Fructis products on his hair. It seems to do the job. It is a little expensive, but for my son, I think it is worth it. Let me know if it works...Good luck.....

Hey J.,

You can use a type of grease,or vitamin in her hair. I use it on my little girl all the time. Look in Sallys.. They have all types off products.
