I think she's doing great in that she's only waking up once! My baby (5 months) still wakes up once a night at 4am. Then sleeps again until 6:45. I agree with everyone else, she's still hungry...
How do you eliminate the middle of the night feeding? My baby is 2.5 months old and gets up once around 2AM to eat. How do I begin to wean her off of this and get her to sleep through the night? She sleeps good otherwise and goes right back down.
Thanks everyone. She moved to her big girl crib upstairs this week and is doing really well. She is sleeping about 12 hours with one 30 min feeding in between. I think she will be sleeping through the night in no time.

Hi J., I think at 2.5 months your little one may still need that feeding, especially if she is then sleeping the rest of the way until morning. My pedi recommended weaning my son off the nightly feeding at almost 4 months. When he woke up at that point I just put in his pacifier and he was right back out to sleep. At seven months he no longer needs the pacifier at all and doesn't wake. I think 2.5 months is still pretty earlier to go all night without a bottle. Good luck!
I'm sorry but it is not realistic to expect a 2 1/2 month old to a) not eat in the middle of the night (especially during a growth spurt or to b) "sleep through the night." It's just not sweetie. If she's hungry, she's going to continue to wake up until she is developmentally ready to "sleep through the night". And that may be a long time coming frankly. There really isn't much you can or should do. Her tummy is just too tiny to hold much. Solids don't help either so don't even think of introducing them this early.
She'll grow out of it before you know it. I promise.
Maybe she still needs that extra meal....my 10 month old is still waking during the night as well. Sorry not much help :(
2.5 months is WAY to early! She will sleep through the night soon!
I stopped the middle of night feeding with my son at 6 weeks, but he just started sleeping throught the night it was not me who wanted to stop. My daughter was 3 months old and she just started sleeping through the night on her own. I just don't think your little one is ready yet. She will let you know. Usually they will only nurse or feed for a few minutes and go back to sleep when this happens just soother her back to sleep without feeding and she will start sleeping through them.
Do you "dream feed"? If not, that will really help. If she goes down at 7, feed her a few ounces at 9 and again at 10:30 or so. Just pick her up, stick the bottle in and jimmy it around until she won't take anymore and put her right back in bed. This worked great for me. Good Luck!
Sorry, I'm of no help. My soon-to-be 3 year old STILL wakes up once or twice a night for a sippy cup of milk. He'll drink 2 full ones before going to sleep then wakes up once, sometimes twice every night for another full cup of milk. If I dont give it to him, he cries and cries and cries. Since he's not potty trained yet I have to change his diaper in the middle of the night so he doesnt wet the bed. I would love to break him of this but have no idea how since I need sleep too.
Only one of my four slept through the night that early--the other three required 1-5 feedings a night for 6-12 months old. Don't rush it --she is probably really hungry and the schedule she is on sounds like a dream to me!! Enjoy her while she is little because they grow up too fast!
