I work full-time monday through friday and make decent money with my company. The problem is i have a lot of debt from going through a divorce and starting completely over (worth every penny!!!). I'm trying to generate a second stream of income that will still let me be there for my child and enjoy our quality time together, but bring in extra money to put directly into paying off my debt. Any ideas that you have would be greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

Hi Erica,

I market a product for people who care about their health and worry that their families don't get enough nutrition from their normal diet, like I used to. It's a revolutionary concept in whole food nutrition. I am expanding my business in this area and would love to talk with you so we could see whether it would be a fit for you.

Let me know when you are free and we could meet for lunch.

Erica,

I absolutely love what I do from home to earn extra income. There are quite a few network marketing companies out there that will boast flexable hours, and good product lines. What I did was I spent over 2 years researching different "at home" businesses to find one that was right for me.

I am expecting twins later on this year, so I needed something that I could do that would be worth the time an energy I invested. I found that Arbonne has the best overall compensation plan + product line. My website is www.arbonnestore.com - please check it out to see why I do what I do.

On the right part of the page, you will see a link to view the "Opportunity Presentation". No pressure. Just please email/call me if you have any questions!

Blessings to you,

I market for a health and wellness company. The way I started making money is I switched stores so because a friend of mine said they had a lotion and bath oil that would help my sons and my eczema. She was right! It has also helped my sons with their asthma. Anyway, because I loved the products so much I wanted to tell others. So I taught them how to switch stores. And that is how I make money! (simple version) We are on a tight budget, and I didn't have to change my budget. We were shopping at Walmart. I hope that I can talk with you. Let me know when a good time for us to talk. You can also give me a call. My number is ###-###-####. Did I tell you that everything is 100% money back guaranteed! I look forward to hearing from you.

Erica, do you have craigslist in your area? Its a free website where you can list things for sale. I have been using craigslist for over a year and have made tons of money. I work a full time job and have 3 kids under the age of 3 (18
month old twins and a 2 1/2 yr old), and my husband got laid off from his job, so I needed to do something. I started off just selling baby stuff that my boys had outgrown (clothes, toys, blankets, shoes, car seats, bouncers, strollers, etc., and even some new stuff that they received as gifts but was off season and they never got to use. Then I started selling other stuff around the house that we were no longer using, like clothes, shoes, dishes, linens, household decor, picture frames, candles, rugs, etc. You would be amazed at what sells on craigslist. My co-workers call me the craigslist queen because I can sell pretty much anything on craigslist. I have co-workers bringing me stuff and telling me that they bet I can't sell it, and if I can they will let me keep all the profits, and low and behold, I have not received a challenge that I have failed at. So now I even have people asking me to sell their stuff for them on craigslist and they pay me to list and sell for them. My sales have gone so well that I started buying items to resell, and that has been very profitable as well. Example: I bought a lot of used baby clothes on ebay, onesies, sleepes, tshirts (30 pieces of baby clothes and only paid $2 for it with shipping included). I turned around and sold it for $15 the day after I received the shipment. So try it out....it's been great for me! If you need any craigslist tips, please feel free to contact me! best of luck!

Hi Erica,

I was a single mom when my daughter was just 4 and I know how difficult it can be. I want to commend you for knowing that in order to give your daughter a better life, you must be out of debt. I can recommend a Christian money management group called Crown Financial that has helped me. You can access them on-line and learn about some fairly painless ways to pay down your debt at www.crownmoneymap.org

Also, I have a passion for helping moms work at home, either for extra money or to replace their full time outside jobs, by helping people obtain affordable health care. There are so many people out there wihtout health coverage and you can help them, while building a successful business that will pay you lifetime residual income. No cold-calling or door-to-door. I'm a nurse, not a salesman. For more info check out my website at http://www.HomeMommy.biz and request an interview. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I wish you all the best.

Dear Erica C,

Someone may have already told you about this. If they haven't, it's worth looking into. I just learned about a company that sells electricity in a new and different, and most importantly, LESS EXPENSIVE, way! It's called Ambit.

Basically, customers can continue using the same electric company service they have now, but pay for it in a different way. I've signed up for it, but I still don't understand much about it. There are two ways you can make money. 1) You can sell the service to customers. 2) You can sign up other people who also sell the service to their friends. While doing so, you can also save money on the energy you use (and who doesn't want to do that, especially right now?!?). This is something you can do in your free time.

Since everyone has to have electricity, you can tell all your friends, family and work associates about it. If you want to know more, check out my web site, www.debdunn.goambit.com. If you still need more info, let me know. I can put you in touch with someone who understands it a lot better than I do!

Hi Erica,
I was a single parent with two children, working a full-time job when we found out my Mother had terminal cancer. I had been earning extra income with a network marketing company so when I quit my job to take care of my Mother I had to turn that part-time income into full-time income. I was able to turn it into a full time income permanently since 1993. I have many people I work with helping them to build an extra income stream or even helping them to replace a full time income so they can be home with their family. Look at my website www.stemcellhotline.com and if it interests you let me know, if not with our company there are other many other companies out there that may interest you. I pray everything works for you and your family.

I hope you find what you are looking for but with this request you will get a lot of MLM opportunities. I am not a MLM person and I get unsolicited emails all too often for MLM opportunities.

When you sign onto MLM, you are putting money in someone else's pocket.

My approach would be to get paper and pencil and write down EVERY penny you bring in and EVERY penny you spend. Start there, then decide where you can cut and save. I have not listened to the Dave Ramsey show but I have heard that he has reasonable objectives for gaining financial success.

There is hope.....Remember it will not always be like this if you have the desire and the drive to make it. Think of delayed gratification.

Do things as simple as focus groups ($100 cash for an hour), online surveys. I work as assistant to my hubby but on the side, I substitute teach once or twice a week, I shop well....These habits have enabled me to be at home with my child for the last 13 yrs, and be home working with hubby for the last 15 yrs.

Hang in there, keep you head held high and you can do it. God bless you.....

Hi, Erica,

I'd love to tell you about the Avon Opportunity! My name is Carole, and I am a successful Unit Leader and can show you how to make $300 to $600 a month part-time and still be there for your child! Since you already work full time, you have a great opportunity to sell there! Avon sells itself. All you have to do is leave your books around and give them to family and friends.

If you'd like more information, please reply to this post and I'll be glad to show you how to start for just $10. No pressure, no inventory and you can set your own hours and goals. Give me a call at ###-###-#### for more info. Have a blessed day!

I just "graduated" from Dave Ramsey's FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY. This program is being offered in many local churches.

It is a 13-session class. You watch Dave R. talk on a video (filmed in front of a live audience) for the first hour of the class. Then you break into small groups and discuss what you just learned. The cost of the course is reasonable and you get a copy of his book and a work-book, too. Dave Ramsey's workbook spells out some very specific steps on how to PAY DOWN DEBT.

Go to: www.daveramsey.com Type in your zip code for an upcoming course near you! Good luck.

I would also recommend Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace University". Learning how to manage and save money is the most important lesson I learned. I know there are some legitimate businesses for extra income, but I would proceed with caution, because many of them require you to spend hundreds to buy product/materials up front. I tried selling Mary Kay and Arbonne and I always felt like I was having to recruit people or ask them to have parties. I know people who are successful at these businesses, and every time I see them, they want me to buy someting or have a party. I don't want others to see me that way. I would opt for keeping a child in your home or working somewhere that would allow you to take your child, like a church MDO, pre-school or health club.

I don't have any advice on making more money, but you should check out Dave Ramsey. He helps people get out of debt using common sense and hard work. He has specific steps to follow so that you see progress very early. His website is www.daveramsey.com and he is also on the radio at KLIF 570 AM every weekday from 1-4pm.

When you are in debt and want to get out there are two ways of coming up with extra money....make more money or reduce your outgo. When I was in the situation of needing more money than I had, my choose was to drastically reduce the outgo. The first step was to really look at what we needed and budget that amount. The remainder went towards debt. I knew that if I really reduced for 18 months I could be in a much better financial situation. And the great thing about reducing what we did was that it allowed me greater time with my daughter--we found cheap things to do. For example, instead of eating out often we cooked at home, and by we I mean my daughter and I cooked. You would be surprised at what a 5 year old can do. I tried store brand food instead of name brand--most often the store brand is just as good, but not always. Another thing we did was to stay out of the mall, Target, and Walmart, going only when I needed something. Another thing I considered was taking on a roommate. But after staying out of the mall and eating at home, I found huge amounts of cash to put towards debt. It actually only took 14 months to get where I wanted to be financially. It was hard, but worth it! I think it taught my daughter some things about respecting money too.

I also work full-time, have two boys, and recently got married for a second time. I completely understand how a divorce can hurt your financially - been there, still recovering!

I became a consultant with Heritage Makers - my website is www.MyPhotobookStory.com in January, and made my money back from the start-up in my first month! The start-up kits are on sale right now, which is a really good deal.

There is no inventory, the tool is all online, which is great and it is easy to use.

Hi Erica,
As for extra income, I got involved with the #1 nutritional company in the U.S. It is a small investment, there is no inventory, you will receive training through coaches and mentors, and it is the best incentive program out there. I have not been disappointed, and neither will you!
One way to find out more is through the stories of other moms through Project MAHMA. Project MAHMA's goal is to help moms earn a little extra cash to buy the things they need for their families.
You can listen to a Project MAHMA call (you will not have to say a word) every Saturday, 10 a.m. Central Time, ###-###-####. Access code 6262#.
Moms just like you from all across America and Canada share their experiences with their Shaklee business. You are muted during the call, so it’s okay if your kids are screaming in the background! OR, you can listen to archived calls at your own convenience.
Reply back to get this info, or to talk to me direct and find out more. I can email you a slideshow presentation of what it is & how it works. Whatever you decide, best of luck to you!
