Holiday Gifts for Extended Day Staff

My 3 year old son attends Catholic school full-time, but his actual "school" program is only 2 mornings a week. For the other days, he is in the schools extended day program. I would like to give some sort of gift to the teachers in the extended day, but there are several of them, including a morning & afternoon shift. Any ideas on what I could do for them? I know this is last minute but I have been wracking my brain for a decent idea. I have considered making a donation in their name to a charity. I've also thought of doing some baked goods but how do I make sure that there is something left for the afternoon staff? Thanks moms, for any ideas!

What can I do next?

Here is what I've done in the past-- go to Bath and Body Works (and hope for a sale!!!) and pick up the least expensive ones you can find but get the scented hand sanitizers or lotions. Pick up enough for each of them to have one and let them pick the scent they like the best by just putting them all in a basket with a note from you for each of them to pick one.

Another thing you can do is get each of them a scratch off lottery ticket. Pretty inexpensive for you and fun for them!

If you do decide to do a homemade goodie, put some in individual baggies so there is one for each of them.

I am in the same boat and want to get something small for the art, music, Spanish teachers, but can't spend $20 on each. I'm thinking about a $5 gift card to Starbucks, Target, Panera.

P.S. I see that my response is pretty similar to the one above me--guess we we crossed. Good luck!

Make the home baked goods and put them in their own Christmas cans/wrap, etc and hand it to them individually

You could always have two tins of baked goods (one marked morning staff........and the other 'afternoon staff.) Or- You could make a pretty arrangement of ornaments in a bowl or container........(1 ornament per teacher... w/ a little tag on each one.)

Or- you could make ornaments out of hand-prints of your son... (maybe cardstock or pre-cut circles?)

A gift card to Muvico; home-baked goods, or a gift card for Publix, or generic debit card. What a love you are for thinking of the staff at Christmas time...

$5 gift cards to walmart, target, publix, etc. are good. Christmas tree ornaments or something that they can put out to decorate every year. Nice candles - glade candels are great and inexpensive! These are all things that they can use. I don't buy or make food any longer because it seems that everyone does it. I also think that most of the teachers I have come across appreciate not having the food and getting something they can use (like the gift card or onament). It is never easy and when there are a lot of them, it can get expensive. Kohl's has great ornaments for low cost!

Merry Christmas!
