Hi,
I'm about to go buy my first highchair for Brayden and I was just curious about everyone's input. I was going to buy the Contempo highchair from Graco, but after some research I found out alot of kids get their arms stuck in it. So, that's out. Does anyone have the Polly highchair from Chicco, or the new Fisher-Price Rainforest one? Or just please let me know if you love or hate yours. Thanks!

What can I do next?

We've got a Prima Pappa you're welcome to if you're near E. Boca. You'll want a new seat pad, but they're certainly less expensive than a full chair.

I love the Fisher Price high chair. Mine is about 3 years old and is the aquarium theme, but I assume the Rainforest one is the same model, just different fabric. I am now using mine with child number 2 and it has been great!

We've just used a portable booster seat. It's been great. When we first started using it, she was 6 months old and we sat her on the table. That way she was still at eye level with us. Now (at 11 months old), we've put her chair on a regular chair. She's now shorter than us, but when we remove the tray, she can sit right at the table. Your child needs to be able to sit up to use it. It takes up very little space, is easy to clean, and it grows with them too. Plus, it's cheap! We got another one for the car so we'll have one for when we're out and want to get something to eat. Anyway, here's the link:

WE have the Fisher Price Space Saver high chair. It's really convenient and easy to clean. I love that it tilts back for those early mornings when ds is ready for milk and I'm not ready to be awake. It has a 5-point harness that converts into a 3-point harness.

I also love that everythign is washable and I can take it off the dining room chair and put it away when we have company. We take it with us when we go on overnight "mini-vacations" to see family in Tampa. Then ds is comfortable in his own chair.

My ILs have the FP booster soemone else has........ds figured out how to get the tray off the tray holder. So we have to use just hte blue part when he sits in it.

We've been through a few...
We loved (and kept the longest) the Prima pappa (with rocker base...it was the only one in stock when my mom bought it for us)...
We love Zooper products but their high chair sat a little too low in the seat for our little guy (who is small for his age in height)...
Also had that fancy Svan highchair and loved it BUT the tray wasn't big enough- or at least the lip around it wasn't so everything tumbled off of it...
Good luck!

Peg Perego Prima is the way to go. They fold up nicely and easily. Comfortable and roomy. really durable, good looking - not an eyesore like some of the FP chairs. check online, they are always on sale. babycenter.com mysimon.com etc. Love this chair.

Sammy is our fifth child & was born on 4/27/06. In our home we've had the Chicco & the Graco over the past decade. Be prepared, the seat pads on any of the ones I've owned needed to be replaced after all is said & done, which aggitated me with the Chicco, because it cracked & allowied the foam interior to get yucky. The washable ones are very nice for this reason but do fade. I find that having a great recline(when he's still little, we have him join the table at dinner @ full recline), wheels, folding capability, & an easy to manipulate tray are all really important. Hit BabiesRUs & go into the highchair aisle & take them for a test drive! Put the chairs side by side & see what you do & don't like about them. I love our Chicco, but still not happy about the pad cracking. Graco has served us well too. With the extra savings on the Graco you could pick up a Fisher Price portable swing!!! Now I could not live without that!!! It goes in front of our shower so I can watch him, outside, on the table, it has even gone to the beach & park. Love it!!!
