If you're at all interested in part-time, First Evangelical Church in Memphis has a wonderful mother's day out program with an excellent preschool curriculum. It is only two days a week but children who leave that program are as prepared as - and often moreso, according to KG teachers - children who go to a full-time program. I know it's not actually in Cordova, but it's enough worth it that there are parents who drive from Cordova, Germantown, Collierville, Olive Branch, etc. bring their kids! I don't know how many spaces they have for the fall term, but the number is ###-###-#### if you're interested.

My daughter just started at Harding in Cordova at Cordova Rd and Macon (she's 2)... She went right in and didn't even cry and I am so pleased with so many other things we discussed in parent orientation as well as her teachers and the entire program!!! I know we're finally in the right spot. It is expensive but so is full time day care and I feel I'm getting better money's worth from this. Oh, and Harding is one of few NAEYC accredited preschools in the area which makes me even happier!

Good luck on your search!

Personally, I LOVE Bartlett Child Care in Cordova ( http://www.bartlettchildcare.com/ ). My daughter has been at this location for over a year, and I couldn't ask for a better child care facility. The teachers are wonderful, attentive and compassionate. The director and assistant director are both easy to communicate with and have never hesitated to answer any questions or concerns I've had, no matter how odd. :) It's located just off of Cordova Road and is extremely easy to get to from Germantown Pkwy. For kids 4 and up, they even have an in-ground pool and swimming lessons during the summer.

Good Luck!

I've been doing some research myself, although my son isn't ready for preschool (he's 18 months). Harding Academy and Lambs & Ivy come up as good preschools. They're pricey, as they're private schools. I'm also checking out the Cordova KinderCare, as I've heard good things about that one. Good luck!
