Finger Food Ideas - Cherryville,MO

I need suggestions for two events:

1) Bridal shower - I am thinking bruschetta and some other apps. What would you like to eat if you were at a bridal shower? The theme is "kitchen".

2) Office reunion of sorts - I am headed back to my old office and would like to pick up some treats for my old employees - there will be about 7 people total. Ideas? I was thinking muffins or something, but the visit will likely be in the afternoon.

Thanks moms!

For the office reunion....take cupcakes....who doesn't love a cupcake in the afternoon. It is easy to carry in and people will love them...especially if you get a bakery assortment.

Bridal shower - cheese crackers, fruit/veggie tray, small little sandwiches, a few kinds of dips with chips.

hot dips that I recommend - just made this week end. Serve with torilla chips or crackers.

Did you ever make mushroom caps stuffed with hot or sweet sausage? Super yummy! My family always asks me to bring them to every gathering we have. PM me if you'd like my "recipe" -- I kind of wing it but I can tell you how I do it.

As for the office...big bag of bagels, cream cheeses and a fruit tray?

for the bridal shower, try making a baked brie! It is VERY easy and is always a hit! And any dips, like, spinach dip, or even hummus (I'm getting hungry! Lol)

I can only think of breakfast things for the office, like bagels and coffee, hmmm... sorry!

Rinsed grapes are always nice. Might try a fruit tray of some sort too.

I second (third?) cupcakes for the office. Then again, I love cupcakes. I make them with reduced sugar and applesauce for some of the fat, so they're even better for you! You could also take in brownies or cookies, or even doughnuts. We eat healthfully here, but sometimes the occasion calls for sweets!

For the bridal shower, well...Everything that's already been mentioned. You could do a fondue with bread, fruit, etc. Fondue is really very simple to make. You could do a cheese one and a chocolate one.

For the bridal shower - I like little mini pizzas made on flahta (sp) bread...had it at a graduation party last weekend - LOVELY!! Easy to pick, light tasting and YUMMY!!!

The other thing then for the theme would be pigs in a blanket - shaped like a rolling pin! :)

Office reunion? Pumpkin or banana muffins

HAVE FUN!!!

LOL, my bridal shower theme was 'sexpot in the kitchen'... my MOM'S idea... it was a surprise... and a humiliation like no other, LOL!! But I got a lot of great Pampered chef stuff :)

I always make my veggie pizza, and cut it up into finger food sizes. It's even good at room temp. Just get a pizza crust, brush olive oil on it, then add feta, olives, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, baby spinach... whatever you like. Top with mozzarella and oregano... yum!!

Fruit is always good too ;)

Just had a friend tell me about a dessert that is SUPER easy and sounds really good and summery…

Line a glass dish with ice cream sandwiches (you can use lite or fat free if you want)
Spread Cool Whip (again, you can use lite) on top and freeze

You can top with something like strawberries, blueberries or sprinkles IF you want to dress it up.

When ready to serve, cut into brownie size servings and serve with a plate and fork.

I was going to say stuffed mushroom caps or baked brie for the shower, but the've already been suggested. My other thought is a hot spinach & artichoke dip or a hot salsa dip. Both are easy & delicious & you can use chunks of bread, pita chips, Tostitos Scoops, whatever you like. PM me if you're interested in recipes!

As for the work thing, I would go with mini muffins, cupcakes, or a fruit tray I think.
