We are planning our trip for September to Disney World and we are going to have the dining plan which includes 1 sit down dinner per night (5). So since we have been before we have a couple of places we loved and plan on returning to (1)The Crystal Palace at Magical Kingdom and (2) breakfast at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort. So my question is do you have any favorite places your family loved that we should try? Thanks for your help.

We LOVED Le Cellier in Canada at Epcot. OMGosh, that food was fantastic! Not too crazy about the pub in Britain, though. Have fun! That dining plan is the best!

Some of my favorite places have already been listed, but we also liked the Donald's Breakfastasaurous (sp?) at Animal Kingdom - it was a great Breakfast, and we saw Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. My kids also liked the breakfast at MGM with the Little Einsteins and JoJo and Goliath, and the breakfast at the Beach Club Resort where they had Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale.

At MGM, the breakfast got you into the park early, so we were able to first in line for the Star Wars ride afterward. However, at Animal Kingdom they held you back behind a line and didn't let you into the park until after the people from the gate had already gone past, but we were still there early enough to get on the Sarengheti (sp?) Safari that usually has such a long line, and we walked on, so it was great to be in the park early.

Some mornings it was hard to get everyone up for the breakfast, but it was always always worth it. Have fun!!! We can't wait to go back and we just went last month!!!

Hi, my favorite one is in Epcot down under the sea explore exhibit. Sorry I can't remember the name, but one entire wall of the restaurant is an aquarium. I'm talking like 20 feet tall by 80 or more feet long. It's huge and beautiful. We also liked the Prime Time Cafe. Hope this helps!

Hi S. -

It's Stacy from church - at least I think it's you. Anyway - it's been a looooong time, but I loved the resaurant at the top of the contemorary. It seemed more for adults, but they dim the lights for the fireworks and you can see them while you are dining, or you can go to the balcony. It was really cool. I also liked the Polynesian Luau thing. Girl - I'm so jealous!!!! I LOVE Disneyworld!!!

The wonderful thing about Disney is that you can't really go wrong, no matter where you end up eating. I also love that they have the same kids menu at EVERY restaurant, so you don't have to worry about your kids not liking the ethnic food! I'm really fond of the Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco and the L' Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante in Italy (both at Epcot). I've never been able to get into the Teppenyaki restaurant in Japan, but I've been told it is wonderful. The Coral Reef at the Living Seas is good too, and you can't beat the view! Oh and definitely go to Cinderella's Royal Table (it's in the castle at Magic Kingdom)...I love their Major Domo's Royal Feast..oh and if you can get in, they have, supposedly, the best character breakfast! Hmm...and the Grand Floridian has a good character dinner buffet. I'm not sure, but I'd say you best book any character meals asap. The one at Cinderella's Royal Table books up a year in advance. Anyway, I've been to Disney many many times (my family has timeshare there) and I can't really say I've ever had a bad meal there, so good luck and have FUN!

We always stayed at the Polynesian. The Polynesian themed character breakfast there is a lot of fun. We enjoyed the luau as well. The first time we went about 10 yrs ago, the luau was as authentic as one we had seen in Hawaii. We have been 4 times since then and it has gone a little more commercial but we always enjoyed it and always went back.

Have fun!

There is a restaurant in Epcot in the Mexico area, its inside, near the boat ride, I believe. It is dimly lit, cool, and has wonderfull steaks! Its a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal. Also, the kids will be entertained by the atmosphere.
You may also try the Grand Floridian for lunch, great views from the restaurant and you get to see the hotel, which is awesome!!! I look at it this way, if you can eat at anyplace and its already paid for...why not try some upscale stuff that you normally wouldn't?....Have a wonderfull time...

Oh where to start...My family loved to eat at Prime Time Cafe at MGM. The atmosphere is from the 50's. The servers (as most of them are at WDW) are wonderful. They talked to my kids, asked them what their favortie part of their vacation was, etc. A great quick service place is Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom. If you like BBQ, this place is great!! Another great quick service place at Animal Kingdom is Tusker House in the African part of the park. Another great character breakfast is at the Polyenesian at Ohana. Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto are at that breakfast. At Epcot, Nine Dragons in China is so good.
I hope you and your family have a great time. That is a vacation spot that I know our kids can go over and over again. My husband and I don't mind either!!!

I just booked our dining at Le Cellier for November, we've heard so many good things about it we have to try it. Coral Reef is the restaurant with the aquarium, we eat there almost every trip but I didn't book it this time. It's in EPCOT at the Living Seas pavilion. One of my favorites is the SciFi Drive In Theater at MGM. My brother in law and his family love Whispering Canyon and book that everytime they go.

Hi S.! We're going to be in Disney World in Sept. too. When will you guys be there? We check in on Sept. 27, toward the end of the free dining offer. Our can't-miss places for each trip are Le Cellier and Biergarten in Epcot and 'Ohana at the Polynesian (plus Crystal Palace, but you're already going there). We aren't eligible for free dining, unfortunately, because we're Disney Vacation Club members (i.e. timeshare), but when we booked our meals a few months ago, I discovered that reservations were very hard to come by due to all the free dining customers during September. If you're able to decide in the next few days, I highly recommend that you go ahead and make some reservations. Good luck, and have fun!

We all loved the Spirit of Aloha dinner show at the Polynesian. I think it costs two punches on your meal plan, but it was so cool. It is a luau atmosphere. The food is excellent and the dancers are too. We were there with my 4 and 1 year old and they enjoyed it, too. They even get all the kids on stage and do a hula lesson. We also had the dining plan and ate at a lot of different places. The Prime Time was also a favorite. You just can't go wrong at Disney!!!
