Family Style Restaurant

Does anyone know of a good "family style" restaurant where they bring out big plates of food and you serve your self from them, instead of everyone getting a plate with the servings already on it? We have family coming in from all directions and a very small window of time to spend together, so we are going out to eat for Thanksgiving. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!! BTW - I live in Collin County, but we are willing to drive a little ways.

What can I do next?

Hi,
I recommend Babes! A few years ago "Southern Living At Home Magazine" had a large article about Babes. Babes has very good food they serve family style.

Buca Di Beppo (my favorite!) and Maggiano's are both awesome. The food is great and so is the atmosphere.

I 2nd Maggiano's. We love that place. Great food. Classy place. You can go casual or dress up. Yummy Italian food.

Buco di Beppo and Maggianos are both YUMMY!! and since you'll have more than 10 people you can request the Pope table at Buca. It's a huge round table w/ a lazy susan in the middle w/ a bust of the Pope on it. It's a lot of fun!

okay i just realized that i should have read the other responses first haha...............there is a place called BABES in Richardson. I dont know if they will be open on thanksgiving but its worth a try. What you do is you order whatever kind of meat you want and they bring out big bowls of unlimited corn, green beans, rolls, gravey, mashed potatoes and I think theres a few more that i cant remember. The meats are like ribs, fried chicken chicken fried steak, well they bring all of that out on big plates too. The servings are huge. We had a lot of fun there, plus they let you take all the leftovers home if you want!!
