Embarrassing Problem. Varicose Veins on My What?

so 8 months pregnant. I can't see my own mons pubis to save my life. Three days ago it started itching like crazy. I ignored it because i had tried to shave/trim my bush blind. I'm not worried about a tity bush this pregnant, but the hair was pulling and tugging so I did a pathetic job of trimming it up. I figured I shaved to close and thats what was itchy. So husband was rushing out the door late for work (he's medical) and I asked him to look real fast to see if he could see anything. He shined his cell phone flash light on it and in front of the mirror where these horrible dark bumps. I was horrified. I thought I had some horrible disease but then remembered my sister telling me about a horrible vaginal hemorrhoid she got while pregnant. So I said, is it varicose veins? and he said, "yes, kind of looks like it." but he had to rush out the door. Yes I will be calling my dr. ASAP to have her take a look. Just never heard of varicose veins on the mons pubis. Has this happened to anyone else?

What can I do next?

Have you read the book "Belly Laughs" by Jenny McCarthy? It's hysterical and she talks about those in the book. And don't worry, this book was written way before she cured her son's Autism and became a self-proclaimed, all-knowing Autism guru.

getting a varicose vain down there is rather normal with pregnancy, and will most often go away once the baby is born.

I have heard that's really common and goes away after pregnancy. No worries.

Veins popping out...i had one thought it was a zit-ish type thing. Hubby picked at it and bled like crazy...that's when he looked a lil closer and realized there were more and what they were.

Call the doc, pretty sure they'll tell you the same thing.
