Doorway Playhouse - Crafty or Creative Ideas?

Use a fabric shower curtain, and curtain rod with rings, to make the fabric "door" for her storage room/play house. Just get a pressure mounted curtain rod, for the doorway, to hang the fabric shower curtain on. Easy.

Get a cute area rug for it to lay on the floor.
Get cute fuzzy pillows for that "room," for her to arrange in there and hang out.
Get a cute battery lamp or light, for it. But I assume, that storage room already has a ceiling light in it?
Or get a Japanese lantern, type "lamp" to put in there.
It will create, ambience.

You do not have to buy a "play house" for in there.
Or, get from Walmart, a toddler play tent. That she can play in, in there.

My daughter has two closets as well -- I just turned one into her "office" -- there's just enough room for her bookshelf and desk, and I ran an extension cord in for a cute lamp. Bulletin board, posters, and a bunch of fun decorations -- she was thrilled.

What a wonderful idea. Perhaps you could use light curtains on a springrod, with the sides held back by a coordinating piece of fabric. No sewing! You might also consider stars on the ceiling or a mobile of stars or birds.

It's exactly like others are saying with a tension rod.- What i saw was just darling, It was only about 3 ft high, and they had just either sewed or hot glued/fabic glued, felt windows and I think there might have been a second tension rod a foot higher with a curtain that was red like a roof. if you couldnt' sew the two pieces together. total is was 315 4 ft high so light could still get in, it was maybe more for a hallway than a closet, but you could easily adapt the idea.

for others that don't have a closet, a clothes line and a sheet decorated to look like a little cottage is super sweet too. I"ve seen one that you can sew to fit over a rectangle table so there are 4 walls. FUN!!

What I did with my daughter was put up a tension rod and used curtain panels we tied to a hook on either side of the doorway. You could also use a flat sheet cut and hemmed down the middle. After awhile she wanted just a valance up top, she preferred an "open" as opposed to a "closed" effect.

I would use a spring loaded shower curtain rod. Braid ribbon around it to cover the actual rod then tie ribbons around to create a door, privacy but not too much. I would then put in a desk, very small but functionsl that could grow with her. Then create a play office with all the back to school/college stuff there is cute office stuff available for her to decorate the space with and create with. Then perhaps a small cozy chair either for her to read or visitors to her office.

I had something like this as a teen, I use a tension shower rod and bought ribbons and beads and tulle and stuff like that and I "tied" them to the top. I would add beads to the ribbons, plain ribons, glue rhinestones onto the tulle and it fascened them like the little tutus
