Hi!! though I have toured a bunch of wonderful schools most don't accept my son in the fall because he was born in April (he has to be 21/2 and he is short by 2 weeks!!) I need a place where he can be two or three times a week. I found one that actually accepted him earlier and i fell in love with it (Hedgerow) but they only accept 12 kids and he wasn't one of them:( I ADORE being with him but I need to start having some kind of life!! If any of you know a wonderful pre-school or day care for a few days a week that is in west l.a., santa monica, Culver City or westwood (I live in Westwood) I would super duper appreciate it!! Thanks so much!!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

They did have room for my son at Hedgerow after all and I couldn't be happier!!! It is exactly or even more than I could have ever hoped for!! Wish I could go there!! :):)
thanks to all of your suggestions though, I really appreciate it!

I know you already found a place but... There is a brand new daycare in Westwood managed by Bright Horizons. I think they have space since they just opened. It's above the Ralphs and Best Buy.

A Kid's Place is the best! They are on Centinela and Venice and their program is 3 days a week for 2/3 year olds. My son's been going to their toddler group since he was 18 months old and he loves it there! Here's the site http://www.akidsplacela.com/

I highly recommend it!

I have not checked it out yet, but Home Sweet Home in Culver City does accept younger kids into their toddler program. It might be worth looking into for your son.

Lots of Love Family Childcare in Inglewood has a great learning environment. It is out of a home so it is a smaller setting than a school or center, which I prefer. My son loves it there. He is 21 months and has started learning how to spell his name, count to 10, say some of the days of the week. The owner's name is Beth Borrou. Her number is ###-###-####. It is near Centinela and La Cienega. Hope this helps.

Hi!
Try Play Mountain Place in Culver City. It is an alternative school with a humanistic approach. I'm not sure about the age issue but the school is well worth finding out. Their site is www.playmountain.org

Hi Vivianne,
If you're interested in looking into Jewish preschools in the areas you mentioned, I can help. Some are open to families of all faiths; some require that one parent be Jewish. There are several that take children at 2. Feel free to contact me anytime; the Concierge service is complimentary!
Best,
D.
