Hello,
I am 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. I have been having minor cramping almost everyday, especially when I am sitting still. if I remember correctly I had this with my daugther too, but cant remember. I am just wondering if anyone else out there has had the same thing and if this is normal. Before conceiving my daughter, I had 2 miscarriages and then a healthy pregnancy, so also wondering if I am at a higher risk for having a miscarriage this time around.
Thank You

I would get into the doc and have your counts checked nobody can tell you but him if this is leading to a miscarriage. I don't remeber cramping with my miscarriage until the bleeding started. are you spotting??

i had cramping at around 5 weeks then again around 10 weeks i am currently 19 weeks and have had no problems with the pregnancy (my 2nd) i have had a miscarriage before and it raised my concern but everything is fine right now. as long as you dont have spotting try to relax as worrying can make them worse because you focus on them more. i am sure everything is fine :)

I had really bad cramping with my first which lasted for the first trimester...then no initial cramping with my second. My OB did say that many women do experience these cramps and they can range from minor to severe. So, it is possible that everything is fine, but you do need to call your OB and confirm that everything is ok. Also be sure to stay hydrated.

I had a LOT of cramping early on in my first pregnancy, not with my second. I'd talk to your doctor though anyway.

sweety if your OB knows your history of previous miscarries, call them and ask them to be seen. i am 8 weeks 3 day with my 5th pregnancy i have 2 children now, so it's scarry to feel every little pinch. but stressing about it won't help you. i am sure everything is fine, i cramped in the beginning as well and i bled on saturday- but i have a subchorionic hemmorhage which i found that out yesterday when i went to the doctor. your ob should be able to see you today if he's a good doctor or at least a nurse practicioner. i hope that helps. and i wouldn't worry too much about it. this is your second after your first full term pregnancy your body is a lot more sensitive the second and third time around than it was with your first.

good luck and congratulations!!!!!!!

I had a lot of cramping while I was pregnant with both boys. I even had cramping to the point that it would knock me to the ground. I had spotting and even like a period with both pregnancies. Both of my boys are healthy little guys. If you are worried I would call your OB and let him/her know that you are worried as you had 2 miscarriages and you need to make sure that everything is okay. They can do a blood test to make sure that your numbers are going up. Other wise I think that it is normal to have cramping while you are pregnant as your uterus is growing for that baby.

As far as the miscarriage, it depends on why you had the miscarriage on if it would be a higher chance of having one now or not. If there was nothing showing that you were lacking anything during the pregnancies like a hormone or anything.. But give your OB call and see what he/she says..

Gook luck momma! :o)
