Could I Possibly Be Pregnant?

On the 3rd of September 2010 I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time. The next few times, we used a condom, however we had some issues with it. A few weeks later I began to feel a little off, but I assumed it was my period coming. It did. However it came three days early and was much lighter than normal. I took a test (Next Choice - $ Tree). But it was negative. I started experiencing slight pregnancy symptoms within a week. I got my next period when I should, but it too was much lighter and shorter. By this time I`d completely let go of the idea of pregnancy. NOW I`m waiting for my period to arrive (it was due on the 5th). We have not had sex since September. For the past few weeks I`ve been extremely bloated, moody, I`ve broken out with acne (not normal), gassy, constipated, achey, TIRED, headaches, breasts are sore and heavy and my nipples are extremely sensitive, for the past few nights I've had an absolute terrible time sleeping (I normally sleep on my stomach but can't seem to get comfy this way now due to the bloating and find myself waking at least 3 times whereas I'm typically an all night sleeper), i have an odd taste in my mouth on occasion, and when I`m not nauseous I can eat the entire kitchen! Is it possible I could be still be pregnant, though I would be 8-9 weeks now? Should I test again? My periods are typically right on schedule, and I have not been under unusual stress lately. I didn`t consider pregnancy until last night when I realized I was 2-3 days late.

My periods are usually very regular and normal, with only severe cramping being a symptom.

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

What can I do next?

Yes test again! When I conceived with my twins after 11 months of trying. I was traveling and thought I started my period but then it just disappeared on me. Then a week later the whole "bleeding" thing started yet again however it wasn't a "normal' period for me. I went and bought a test anyways thinking Oh I know it will be negative since I am on my period but this just isn't a normal period for me. I took the test and bam it was positive. It's entirely possible to get a false negative. Go and get another test to find out because you will need to get prenatal care as soon as possible. All it takes is one.........or in my case two-lol!

Test again. If it's negative then you are definitely not pregnant and something else is going on. If it's positive, you have a lot to talk about with your boyfriend... Pregnancy is a big deal to any relationship, but especially a new one. Come back to us for resources, if it turns out that you are pregnant.

Not too likley but the only way you can tell is by testing. If money is an issue, you can get a test at the dollar store.

It takes two weeks for the fertilizes egg to find its way into the uterus and implant itself in the uterine wall. Thus creating pregnancy. Recheck your dates and figure out your approximate ovulation schedule for September...remembering to count 14 days from the beginning of your period in August. If the dates coincide with the beginning of these symptoms, then go to your doctor's office and have a documented test done and set up prenatal care.

You have an awful lot of what could most definitely be pregnancy symptoms. I'd definitely test again. Hope things work out they way you hope.

Get a dollar tree test and test again. It is very possible to have a couple light periods while pregnant. Sore nipples is a sure sign for me and my body.

I recently found out I was pregnant after having multiple pregnancy symptoms. I didn't think I could be pregnant since I had the return of my first menstrual cycle a couple of weeks before. However, the urine and blood test both came back positive. Everyone kept asking me if it was like my previous periods and it was....however, it appears to have been "attachment bleeding" which can occur 5-10 days after conception. Sometimes women can have bleeding during their pregnancy and this can be normal. I would take another home pregnancy test and if it is negative get a blood test done.
