Chiroprator for Child/Hayfever Allergies

Can anyone recommend a chiropractor who is really good with children? One you've had personal experience with who has helped alleviate your child's hayfever-type allergies? My daughter has never had ear infections but has suddenly developed hayfever...runny, itchy nose and itchy eyes. I can never get her to blow her nose and she scratches her eyes until the skin around them is beet red. Looking for someone in the Allen/Frisco/McKinney/Plano area but would be willing to drive further for someone highly recommended. Would prefer someone who takes insurance. We've been giving her children's Zyrtec but I don't want to give that to her long-term. Thank you in advance for any recommendations you may have!

Take a look at ACM Health Solutions (www.acmhealthsolutions.com). I had very bad seasonal allergies that started when we moved to the area. Someone recommended Dr. Homoky at ACM to me and he has eliminated my seasonal allergies and now he's treating my children. He's an accupressurist, but there also is a chiropractor in the office.

I may be a little bias. But my husband is a wonderful chiropractor with an office in Allen. We have 2 daughters, and he adjusted them before we left the hospital, and has been doing so ever since. They are in great health, and have not gotten more than a stomach bug or short cold. Our office is very laid-back, unlike some, and my husband is the same....laid back, casual, and not pushy at all. He is at 820 S. Alma Dr at the corner of Alma & Hedgcoxe in Allen. ###-###-####. Rider Wellness & Rehab. Dr. C. Michael Rider

J.,

I take myself and my kids (1 and 5) to Dr. Kathi Perry. She's at www.healthbyhandswellness.com. Unfortunately, she's in Arlington. I hate the long drive but I wouldn't trust my kids with anyone else. She's completely cured our allergies. I've tried other chiropractors (none know how to cure allergies) and accupuncturist (they know how to cure allergies, just not forever). I was allergic to dairy for 35 years (throwing up everytime I drank milk). One treatment from her and I haven't had an issue in 5 years. The same for my oldest son. I'm not one to make my children suffer from allergies when there are people out there who can cure them. It's also way too much hassle to keep them away from certain foods or not let them play outside.

Good luck and remember that you don't have to drug your kids up. There are other ways to make them better, you just have to find out what works best for your child.

Dr Rick is at Spring Creek and 75.

My kids LOVE him and the staff.
It's child friendly, and he is happy to answer my gazillion questions with a smile.

I've been to MANY. Dr. Rick is who I chose for my son...

BTW, ADHD??? For our oldest son, we think one big contributor is that the top of his spine doesn'thave the 45 degree curve it's supposed to... It actually had a reverse curve...not good for the brain to communicate with the rest of the body... So, as Dr. Rick has been putting the curve bak into my son's neck, his ability to pay attention and grasp concepts has gotten better...

Dr. Nicole Lederman is an amazing pediatric chiropractor. She offices in Coppell but it would be well worth your drive. Her hours are a little inconvenient sometimes because she also is an instructor and staff doctor at Parker College of Chiropractic. She has been adjusting my baby boy since the day he was born and he is so happy and healthy.

I have used Dr. Homoky as well for my own allergies and for my kids allergies. Again, he uses AAT (Advanced Allergy Technique) acupressure treatments, though if you really want him to use needles on you. he'll stick ya! :-) I also recommend Dr. Annise Niedrich in Allen for chiropractic. She's realy good with kids, and has a great, gentle manner with them. Personally, I would see Dr. Annise first to make sure the bones are in alignment, then see Dr. Homoky to begin working on the allergies. This one-two punch will knock those annoying things out in no time! (OK, feeling a little punchy this morning, and more than a bit punny, too! Ha!)

We go to Dr Chartrand in McKinney. www.harmonyfamilyhealth.com. He's not a chiropractor, but he is an MD with a natural, holistic approach. He also does acupuncture, so he might be able to help.
