I found this homeopathic cough stuff for my son with the cough (only because he coughed so bad he puked)... has anyone ever tried this? It was next to the Hyland's cough stuff, but this seemed more on point for his cough (which I mentioned in a previous post).
Have you tried it? Does it work?
Yes, and it's great! But, you do have to give it every 2 hours for a persistent cough, but it does work! You can even use it for yourself, just double the dose, it's the same ingredients for adult or child, just different doses; 1 tsp child, 2 tsp adult. The Chestal has always worked for us :)
Have it, it kind of works but I think it will vary depending on the kid and the reason for the cough. At most I would say it comforted my daughter more then anything but it wore off quickly so I only give if it is non stop cough that is due to a cold/sore throat. If the cough is related to anything else it may not give any relief.
Love it. It definitely helps soothe the irritated cough. Really difficult when we aren't supposed to use any of the "old" drugstore remedies until they are much older.
I've tried it for my son. I don't think it did anything.
Push the fluids!
I've never used it but from what my pedi recommends and I've read in a few parenting mags... just give a teaspoon of honey and save yourself the money. I've done that for my daughter and it really does work. If you can get local honey that's a bonus.
I also make my daughter sleepy time tea with lemon and honey mixed in for a "before bed" treat. It helps calm the cough as well.
