Blooma in Edina

Hi Ladies,

I am considering starting a prenatal class at the Blooma Yoga Studio in Edina. I am curious if any of you have taken classes there? I took a class at the Saint Paul Yoga Center on Selby Ave. with my last pregnancy, but my husband is traveling so much for work now, the fact that Blooma has child care onsite is appealing. I am afraid if I sign up for an evening class I will miss most of them due to my husband's work schedule.

Anyway, any comments from people with experience with the studio is appreciated. Are the teachers as good as they seem on the website? How is the child care? Looking at their info, it just seems like the "perfect" place to take a prenatal class, is it really that great (to justify the cost and drive time - I live just by the fair grounds off Hwy 280)?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, I took my first class this morning and it was perfect. TOTALLY worth the drive and the extra cost. I felt so comfortable in the studio, the instructor was great, and my kids loved the child care. I highly recommend it, especially if you live in the neighborhood, but even if you have to drive like I do.

Blooma is great! My friend took prenatal there and loved it so I decided to take my 7 mo. old to a mom & baby class to check it out. The teachers are so personable, its like a little community. They remembered me the second time I came back. Plus you meet a great group of mamas. I also took a "yoga for you" class and used their child care, which worked out wonderfully.
I do agree that it is spendy, but it was something I needed to do for myself. Its I think $18 per class plus $5 for child care, though the second child may be cheaper.
Cheers,
-C.

I have heard great things about Blooma. I looked into taking classes there with my baby, but it was more than I wanted to pay. There is an article on Blooma in the latest issue of MN Parent magazine. You can pick them up at libraries, or look on-line. Good luck!
