I'm going to buy new blinds for our bedrooms. It's something that needed to be done when we moved in 9 years ago, but we just never bothered.

The trim in the bedrooms is either white or light oak. I have to special order their size, but I'm going to buy the same for all bedrooms.

What color wood blinds should I get, white? The current blinds are white.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

OK, 2 inch white wood is what I was looking at. I just need hubby to help me measure.

I would go with white. They help brighten the room.

Plantation shutters are very nice as well. I have custom white 2" wood blinds throughout my house.

That's just my personal taste... I hate dark colored blinds because it makes a room feel dark and gloomy.

White. That color always looks good in any window.

I would suggest 2 in. white wood blinds. Not only would it look beautiful from the inside, but you have to think about what the home looks like from the outside. You want to keep the color as uniform as possible. That is why quality custom fabric window treatments are always lined with white.

Yes, white. It's clean and fresh, and you don't need or want your blinds to be a focal point. Save your color for your artwork or your sheets and quilt.

Just make sure they are quality blinds and a pretty white.

we have blinds that are a pale pale yellow.. white looked too much like an office.. can you do a light color that accents the wall color? or is the wall white as well?.... so for example, say you have a pale green on the wall, you could accent that with a lighter green color or even a different pale color..
sounds odd, but actually can look good.. they should allow you to bring samples home for fun..
also, in one room, we do have white shutters.. and those look nice too..

If you are planning on moving and having them convey - I would get something that complements the room and the trim.

Do YOU like the white blinds? If the answer is no? Then find something that works for you and will appeal to more buyers...it's always nice to move into a home that you don't need to run out and buy blinds right away..

Personally? I wouldn't buy the same for all rooms. The master bedroom needs to be (in my opinion) better than the rest....just like the master bathroom should have a better vanity, sink, shower, etc...but that's ME...

I guess I'm not helping you out too much...I would buy what would make the room look the best...not just white...

I would try to match up the light oak color and get a wood or faux wood blind. White is so boring and the wood color also helps with light blocking when you're sleeping.
