Birthday Party

A really fun party is to take the group to a local swimming pool. If you live in Chandler Desert Oasis is really fun and it is on 50 cents per child to go swimming. There is a park attached to that pool that you can go to first for cake and presents and then walk around and pay for everybody to swim. You can invite parents and there are small water slides and a zero feet entrance to 3 feet deep area. Meaning it is like a beach and gets a little deeper up to three feet in the small kids area of the pool. There are life guards in every section of this little swim park and I have done this for two years in a row for my two girls that have birthdays a week apart. It costs a dollar for adults (I think) But I invited parents and kids and spent about 18 dollars total for everyone to swim last year. I went to the dollar store and got some sidewalk chalk and bubbles to put in the goody bags and I think all in all with cake, pool, and goody bags I spent 45 dollars in total. If this is a drive it still might be worth it for the cost that it saves and the fun you have. You have to do cake and presents in the small park that is next to the pool because they do not allow cake in the pool area. Any questions feel free to e-mail me. A McDonald's with an indoor play place is great and does not cost much, they do everything for you and everyone has a great time.

They have awesome ideas at the "new" Tumbleweed rec center on Ocotillo and McQueen. I went to a party for a 4th grader and got some info on programs while I was there and they have some cool things. Check it out. I know you can go to www.chandleraz.org. Good Luck!

The Little Gym is a great place for a summer party. It is nice because it gets the party out of your house, but you don't have to be responsible for watching all of the kids and everthing else, the staff does.
Another idea, Tempe Town lake has a really fun splash park area, I would just make sure to invite the parents so you aren't watching all the kids around water by yourself.

Jeepers on ALma School and Guadalupe. Just had a party there for my 2yr old. Cost around $100 for 8 kids and family to play and eat.

It is an indoor amusment park with kiddie rides and games.

What about the movies (Tempe Cinemas and Cake and Ice cream after).

My son's bday is in July also so I feel ya.

This idea is actually a park, but at the Fountain Park in Fountain Hills, they have a ramada with a free splash park adjacent. It's really nice and the kids love it all summer long. It might be a lil uncomfortable for the adults but if you go early it might not be too bad.

Also, they have parties at The Little Gym, which is like a gymnastics type place. My son goes and gets a lot of energy out.

when my niece and nephew were visiting (ages 3 and 5), we went to the one on mesa. we went on a weekday, either wednesday or thursday, and it happened to be 1/2 price. The parents don't have to pay, just for the kids. They do have an area for birthday parties as well. There are lots of fun rides for the kids, and parents can ride as well with a paying child. there are also video games, and a climbing area.

If you live in the East Valley the Youth art museum has a neat play set-up ,clean,activities & a small area outside & inside to eat at..or there are local resturants(small mom & pop type) for the food portion of the party
