Hi
I recently moved to Clear Lake and I am 34 weeks pregnant. I am looking for the best OBGYN and Hospital to deliver in. I am willing to travel a little. I had a VERY bad birth experience that ended with a c-section with my son (a c-section that was not needed as it turns out) and I had my daughter at 36 weeks. I already feel the early signs of labor coming on and I am very concerned that I need to find a good doctor soon:)
Thank you for your help!
L.

** Also, I REALLY want to try for a VBAC. I am having trouble finding a dr here in Clear Lake that will do VBAC. I called the Clear Lake hospital and they told me that there are doctors that will do VBAC here in Clear Lake but they could not give me any names.**

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you SO much for all of your help!! I checked out all of the doctors that you suggested and ended up going with Dr. Klein. I went to see him Monday and I LOVE him!!! He is going to let me attempt a VBAC and he made me feel very comfortable. Thanks again!!

I would have to agree (a little late) that Clear Lake Regional is a very good hospital. I used an associate of Dr Klein's (Dr LeBlanc) she is wonderful as well. I felt very in control of my delivery with her. Wishing you the best of luck.

Both hospitals are very good. You might want to find out where the OB/GYN you have chosen can practice out of. Not all of them work out of both hospitals. If you have not found an OB/GYN yet you might want to try Dr. Joi Findley-Smith, I think that she is very good.

Clear Lake Regional is an awesome hospital and they have a great L&D floor, post partum floor and a new NICU unit. My Dr. is Dr. Beth K. Files ###-###-####) and she is amazing. I use her, my mother, sister in law and some good friends use her too! I've had numerous female problems in the past and Dr. Files has addressed them all. She takes the time to listen at every appointment and doesn't rush you in and out. With my first I went to the Woman's Hospital of Texas in the Medical Center because I thought it was the best but I had a better expierience at Clear Lake than I did at Woman's. Dr. Files as did my tubal less than 15 minutes after the delivery of my baby. My little guy was born on 7-7-07.

I also recommend dr beth files. She was my dr for my second baby and will continue to be my dr. But I'm not sure they do VBAC at clear lake regional. Both my babies were c-section and I think I asked Dr Files about it and it was ruled out very quickly. I would recommend calling whoever you think might become your Dr and asking specifically about VBAC. My first baby was with Dr Lillian Abbott. All the Drs. in that practice are also good. I just like Dr Files' bedside manner better.

Good Luck

Hi L.!
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ronald Baden. He is in Friendswood, but delivers at Memorial Herman Southeast (off Beamer & Astoria) and I think at Clear Lake Regional, too. His number is ###-###-####. He has been my OB/GYN for 11 years. He delivered my 10yr. old daughter and my 7yr. old twins and was absolutely awesome throughout both pregnancies and deliveries. I've also had some problems since then and he has been excellent with that also.
Hope this helps!
A.

Hey L.,

I agree with the other ladies here about Clear Lake Regional Med center. Awesome hospital!! I had both of my sons there. I had a horrid doctor the first time (Angela Houghton) and was blessed to find an incredible doctor for my second child - Dr Geffrey Klein in Webster. He is with OGA & his number is ###-###-####. I started going to him in 2000 for painful periods, I needed surgery and found out I had endometriosis. He helped me throughout the process of trying to get pregnant (3 years) and then was an incredible delivery doctor at the hospital. His hallways are lined with frames of photos that parents have sent him. I just love him! I have recommended several others -- all love him as well!

Good luck with your pregnancy - I pray that it will be a blessed time for you and your man!

Blessings,
M. L.
