Appropriate MBA Gift

My younger sister is receiving her MBA the first weekend of September and I don't know what to get her for a gift! As sisters we buy each other cool freaky funky things, but this is a true milestone and wanted to get her something MBAish (maybe?) without breaking my bank either. Any ideas any of you might have would be great!

What can I do next?

When I finished college recently my siblings went in together on a very nice full-size day planner/portfolio. I know it was a little pricey for them (they're still in high school) but it was wonderful and thoughtful; something I can use forever, and was complimentary of my education. Maybe something along those lines?

Try Things Remembered. I know they have an online store too. They do a lot of engraving and have suggestions for such things. Cool bookends that are engraved are something she can use at her office or home. They are functional and with them being engraved she can always remember this time.

How about a set of Shakespeare's works? or a gift cert to Barnes and Nobel, or a special journal, or a necklace?
Good Luck- I'm sure she will love anything that you find that means something to you-H.

This may sound kinda cliche, but it is what my parents and sister got me when I got my B.S. It was a ruby necklace. Rubies are supposed to signify something about graduation and accomplishment. Also, just a though, but a very nice briefcase or leather messenger bag.

How about a great picture, say either of you two, or of your boys (I LOVE pictures of my niece and nephews) with a really nice frame. You could write something on the back or put a note behind the picture about how proud you are of her. . .

Get her a Montblanc pen. I'm an MBA and in business, you can't carry any old bic.... you need something that looks more professional.

Good luck!

My brother graduated with his Masters last year and another brother and I bought him an Ipod. We bought the largest mega bites at the time, but they range in MB and $$, check to see if she already has one. If not......definately will be her most favorite gift.
