Work fine, no side effects. Does seem to help with mood. Started acupuncture & some other herbal supplements so I no longer take it.

What to take for mild depression 10,000 unit of vitamin D daily. You won't have any side effects either.

I started taking it for joint problems but it seems to have boosted my mood! It is safe and mild. Feel free to double dose to reap more benefits. The only downside is the price. The cheapest I've found it is at BJ wholesale. Good luck.

I haven't tried Sam-E, but The Depression Cure (by Steven Ilardi) is a great book with natural depression remedies like fish oil, vitamin D, exercise, and sunlight. Hope you find something that works.

Not for depression, but I just had to start giving it to my dog for liver problems he was having. Guess it can be used for a few things! lol. Hope it works well for you.

LOVE IT!!! I take it with Vit D and B-12. I am so much eased with everything. I got off my anti-depressants the beginning of April. started on Sam~E a few weeks ago. This week I have had the easiest time pulling out of mind craziness. Those slumps where you could sit and cry. I have not felt this ''normal'' since last August.

If you are looking into taking it, I highly recommend it. I would consult your doctor or a naturopath though before you jump in to taking them. Just because it is a supplement and I am a firm believer you should take nothing without having the right people behind you first.
