Hi N., here are some links that can give you some information. I know someone who had a tubal reversal and had a baby, and someone else who was able to have a baby after going through the IVF process which is a REALLY good option depending on your circumstances. I would google local fertility clinics and tubal reversal clinics in Florida. Hopefully these links will get you started. best of luck!

Hi N.,
I have heard of many people having positive experiences with tubal reversals. If you join this yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AboveRubies/ there are women on there who have had positive experiences. I would suggest joining and then asking your question. Since many people who want to increase their family size (after deciding earlier that they didn't want to) come to this list, you'll get many responses.

Hi there. Sorry to hear about your situation :( I've had my tubes tied, but then had to have a hysterectomy just this Sept so I don't have any personal experience with reversal. I do know though that a friend of mine had a reversal done and it's been 6 years and no pregnancy :( I don't know what the odds are but it can't help to research it. I know most insurance's don't pay for this procedure. My friend paid $7,000 which was a reduced fee, and that was years ago, as I said. I suggest discussing all your options with your ob/gyn and seeking counseling as well. GOOD LUCK. I hope you find a way to have another baby!!

My husband and I are having my tubes reversed in March. I am nervous, excited, and soo much more. A dream come true! Complications can happen at any time. Depends on the person, doctor, etc.. I believe getting a good doctor is vital!

I had a tubal reversal in 1999. I had my tubes tied in 1990 after my son was born. My reversal went great. I have, however, suffered through multiple miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy since having my reversal. I still have no baby. Mine cost $8500 total, but there are many docs who charge much less. IMHO, the reversal can be a better option than IVF since IVF costs at least $10-$15,000 depending on medication and monitoring costs and how much your insurance will pay(if any). And, a reversal gives you the chance to try naturally EVERY month instead of just one shot with IVF and possibly one more with a FET if enough eggs were retrieved. I know plenty of women who have gotten PG after TR and had babies. Most within 6 months of surgery and lots within the first couple of months after surgery.

My choice of doctor was Dr. Gary Berger in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He is a wonderful doctor and microsurgeon. He specializes in TR and does them every day. Google his name and you will find him. His prices have come down since I had mine done. Lots of luck!!

Hi N.!

Having a baby is still possible without having a reversal procedure through IVF. This could be an option especially if you plan on having just one more child, this way you don't have to pay for a reversal, have baby, then pay again for a ligation. Good Luck! :)
