My daughter wants to go swimming. we do not belong to a gym that has an indoor pool. is there anyplace we can go to that has an indoor pool that we can just pay for the day (kind of like going to a public pool during the summer?) I thought about just renting a cheap hotel room for the night for like $50 and then not staying (bed bugs) but that seemed expensive for just 3 people to go swimming.

What can I do next?

The great Wolf Lodge does require you to purchase a room overnight, but Coco Key water resort allows to to buy a pass for the day. They have 2 locations. The Crowne Plaza downtown and the Fairfield Inn in Fairfield. The day pass is $15 per person, BUT if you want to go on a weekday after 4pm, it's only $8.

I think that Coco Key sometimes has specials. Check the ValPak you get in the mail. I know they had a coupon for December with a BOGO free. You can also go online to their website and see what specials they have posted there.

You can talk to hotel managers and ask to pay a cash fee just to use the pool. Here I know a hotel owner who does this and I know of several hotels who allow it for about $2 per person. Also, the YMCA allows persons to be a guest without another person. The family swim is the best time to go play in teh pool. It is $4 per child and 8 per adult(half if a member goes with you).

My mother used to do that for my sister's kids but never mine.
I thought that was a huge expense. I would try the W's. I can't say which one might work since I don't know your local. Also check with your schools. Our has one night a week for residences to swim. But there is no life guard.
