You are not pregnant. Especially given that they did the blood test. If that was negative, then it's a given. I would suggest you talk with a therapist as well as your OB, and discuss your difficulties as well as learn to manage your anxiety and stress surrounding getting pregnant and taking tests. It does seem that it's a fixation, and obsession. If that's the case , that can do so much to your body and it's ability to relax. Not to mention play with your hormones as well as menstruation.

Welcome to mamapedia, A.

You had a false positive test. It happens. If a result shows up PAST the two minute mark? It's a FALSE reading. The tests you conducted after? You had a hormone surge. It happens.

The blood test is definitive. It was negative you are not and were NOT pregnant.

Please stop torturing yourself. I've had three miscarriages, 12, 22 and 16 weeks. You can drive yourself crazy with "what if" and "was I"? STOP. Let go of those tests you THOUGHT were positive. Stop stressing out over this.

Wait a few months before you have unprotected sex again - give your body a chance to get normal again. Then start having unprotected sex again. DO NOT stress your body out by "trying" to get pregnant. Just have fun and enjoy having sex with your husband. NO PRESSURE.

Please let go of what was not. You weren't pregnant. Quit stressing over it. Move on. Move forward. I know this sounds harsh. I can tell you I've experienced what you are going through. You are going to make yourself mad if you keep harping on it. STOP.

All the best!

Did you have a D&C when you had your miscarriage? Sorry to be blunt but I had one after my daughter was born and didn't. Almost to the date when I'd have been due I got milk in my breasts and started leaking. I had to have a D&C done to clean me out because there was a tiny bit of tissue left inside. Parts of my body thought I was still pregnant.

It's possible there is/was something similar to this going on.

Please save yourself the heartache and don't do the home pregnancy tests anymore. Go to your OB/GYN and get checked out, make sure your uterus is healthy and ready for a pregnancy. Then start trying again. Listen to the doc and go to them for the pregnancy test.

You can't take results from later and call that pregnant. You have to go by the results right after the test.

Do yourself a favor and give your body a rest. Four months isn't very long.

You need to take pregnancy vitamins before you start trying. Eat well and get sleep. Don't stress. When you do start trying, don't stress about getting pregnant. The more you stress about getting pregnant, the harder it is to do it.

I know it's hard - but you need to relax about this.
Wanting it so badly might stress you out to the point where it makes it more difficult to conceive.
There is such a thing as hysterical pregnancy - you show all the signs - and there is no baby - and your hormones get all out of whack.
Please believe the doctor and stop wasting money with all the home pregnancy tests.
If after trying for a year you have no luck, then see a fertility specialist (6 months if you're 36 or over).

If it were me, I'd make an appointment to go see my OBGYN and have them check it all out. Hard to say what was happening. Generally all my home pregnancy tests had 'faint' lines (I was pregnant each time). Not sure how dark they are supposed to be, but some people get hung up on that.
7 or 8 home pregnancy tests seems a little excessive. I never did more than one or two. Do you still have an appointment on the 7th of April? If so, still go in and explain what's happened.

It took my BFF months for her post miscarriage hormone levels to decrease enough to the point of being able to try again. You might go see the doctor and get some advice. Sorry you're not pregnant - but best of luck on getting there and soon!!
