First off im only 18 and the birth control i am on is the nexplanon implant in my arm, my period was over 2 weeks late and then my period started or so i think, but now i have been bleeding for 17 days, and its not even cramps anymore its back pain and dizzy spells and nausea and the pain is localized to my left side like where my appendix would be but a little higher. I do not know whats wrong the last time i bled this long i had a premature miscarriage but it only lasted 2 weeks. I have no kids and dont plan on any but i wouldnt turn one down if it showed up! I talked to my grandma whos in the medical field and she said theres a chance its an eptopic pregnancy but i dont want to think like that. Some one please give me any advice you have to spare or your similar experience and outcome anything helps please!!!

What can I do next?

You were using contraception, so that's a great first step. Not all young people think ahead.

Your appendix is on your right side, so I don't know what is on the left side that is causing pain. Bleeding for 17 days is not normal, so you must call a doctor, go to a Planned Parenthood or similar real clinic (not the fake ones that don't have medical personnel), or urgent care walk-in center or, if all else fails, an ER. If your grandmother is in the medical field, she should have told you that an ectopic pregnancy is an absolute emergency and, if unattended to, can result in internal bleeding, sterility or death. You don't mess around with it. But there are other things that can cause a lot of bleeding, and you aren't looking into any of that.

What did you do the last time when you had a miscarriage? Surely you didn't just wait it out, because that is absolutely dangerous as well. A miscarriage can have retained (unexpelled) tissue that can cause an infection.

I know you don't want to think about it, but waiting around is solving nothing and may be endangering a lot more. Call another adult if you need to, but go get seen. Now.

My advice would be go see a doctor pronto. I wouldn't waste time (if it were me) asking on the internet.

I would also ask to have blood work done. If I bled for 17 days, I would be anemic. When I am anemic - I feel faint, dizzy and nauseas.

Actually, any woman who unusually bleeds for 17 days would more than likely go to the doctor to see whats up. Best you do that. Let us know what happened.

Get off the Internet asking strangers if you're pregnant.

Go to the Dr.

I do hope that your grandmother also told you to get to an urgent care facility or the ER. Didn't she tell you that women can DIE from an ectopic pregnancy? Even if it isn't an ectopic pregnancy, you say you have been bleeding for over two weeks and are in growing pain, along with feeling dizzy and nauseous. The situation is not going to fix itself, or it would have already. Please get medical treatment immediately.
