We just moved here from Texas and I am looking for a place to have my daughters 4th birthday. We were thinking about Science City but is that too far for parents to drive? We are used to driving so it does not bother us but would hate people not showing up because of the distance. Any suggestions on location or the science city question would be great!!

I would ask a few of the parents of the children that you were planning on inviting. Maybe there opinion would help. My daughter just turned 4 and would love to go there. Remember it's your daughters party, and you know she's going to have fun no matter what. I hope this helps...

Hi, and welcome! I moved here one year ago from New Mexico. I had our 4 year old son's birthday at the Zoo. It was fun. They do all the planning, everything. Including bringing special animals to the Birthday Bungalow. Highly recommend!
We had my daughters 4th birthday party at The Little Gym og Overland Park and it was a great success! You show up with a cake and they do everything else! They will even send out the invitations! I give them 2 thumbs up!
I'm not sure what part of town you ar ein but the Great Mall in Olathe has a Dye Your Duds shops that hosts very fun birthday parties. What does your daughter want to do?
You might try Wonderscope which is located in Shawnee Mission, KS. It is somewhat like Science City on a smaller scale but my kids loved to go there. I haven't been there in a while because I have returned to work but they have a website you can check out http://www.wonderscope.org/index.php
