For the past two weeks my 25 mo old has been throwing up his food abut 20- 30mins after a meal. It doesnt happend everyday but its been happening every other day or so. Like last night for instance i fed him dinner, then an hour later gave him a sippy with warm milk before he went to bed then shortly after he came in my room vomitting up all the milk. Ive been checking his temp which is normal and he doesnt appear to have a rash which would indicate a food allergis reaction. When i called the dr they could only say t may be acid reflux, but as a baby he never had any of these problems. Even the dr sounded puzzzled to this over the phone WE HAVENT INTRODUCED HIM TO ANY NEW FOODS Hmmmmm

What can I do next?

I would make sure its nothing serious but this started happening with my son when he began eating more food and then drank to much milk afterwards so just try cutting back on the amount of milk you give him

Your son may be having a problem with Lactose Intolerance. He could be having problems with wheat or some other food he has ingested.

Keep a log of everything he eats over the next two weeks. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING IN HIS DIET - for two weeks - then take something out - like the warm milk at night and see what changes happen. Make sure you only change ONE THING - this will help you find out what is causing him to vomit.

Good luck!!

Has he ever had failure to thrive in his growth in the last 2 years? Does he seem delayed in any of his developement? My neighbor had these issues on and off with her daughter to age 2 then she started vomiting pretty frequently and they found out she had ceiliac disease. Celiac disease is a condition that damages the lining of the small intestine and prevents it from absorbing parts of food that are important for staying healthy. The damage is due to a reaction to eating gluten, which is found in wheat, barley, rye, and possibly oats.

You say he didn't vomit until after the warm milk. Is he perhaps lactose intolerant? think of the foods/drinks he's had before vomiting. Maybe cut out dairy.
